I have done my best to distil down your comments and summarise below what you have had to say.  Scores are a straight average out of 10 from all your feedback for: presentation / taste.

Our key actions are:

  1. We are improving the chicken skewer, increasing the portion size and will marinade the chicken for longer
  2. Will watch for temperature on the brie obviously should not be cold
  3. No potatoes being offered with steak was an over-site, we have put a reminder on the till
  4. Butter pre packs should not be served with the cheese and biscuits, though ‘work of the devil’ a possible slight overstatement!
  5. Thank you for all your service comments which are all discussed with the team

Starters

  • pate (9.5 / 9.0)
    • lovely
    • enjoyed but could not taste asparagus
  • mussels (9.6 / 9.4)
    • good bowl full, juicy, meaty, no grit and a delicious sauce – as good as it gets
    • great
    • very tasty
    • nice and big and sauce really tasty
  • brie (8.25 / 7.25)
    • good but almost cold
    • sauce lovely, tastes worked but not hot enough
  • Thai chicken skewer (8.2 / 8.2)
    • disappointing, small portion and not enough flavour, not up to standard we have come to expect
    • no hint of flavour, first time ever had a negative comment
    • lacked taste
    • lovely but not enough

Desserts

Mains

    • aubergine (9  / 9)
      • looked good,taste very good, lots of nice vegetable flavours
    • pork  (8.75 / 8.5)
      • beautiful, enjoyed all the different flavours
      • nice, sauce tasty
      • chewy but good taste
      • lovely flavour, sauce delicious, liked the apple on the side
    • chicken (8 / 8.5)
      • very enjoyable
      • good generous portion, nice mix of potato and peppers
    • salmon (8.25 / 8.75)
      • perfect and enjoyed the potato cake and leek
      •  beautiful
      •  cooked to perfection, loved it

      • rosti potato a little bland
      • beautifully cooked, veg not mushy-just right
      • very moist, melted in the mouth. Bubble and squeak had more ingredients than I’ve ever seen before

      • fabulous, perfectly cooked. A real treat!!
      •  tender and juicy, med rare as ordered. No potatoes offered!
      • excellent, cooked right but had to ask for potatoes though

General Comments

  • Wish you had opened in Ulverston then there would be no need for a driver. Your wine is always good
